Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage works on the Meridian Lines of our subtle energy body. It works on the same premise as acupuncture but instead of needles, the practitioner uses their thumbs, hands and feet to press and stimulate energy flow throughout the body. The receiver is fully clothed and remains very relaxed and passive throughout the process, whilst the practitioner gently manipulates and moves the person in to different positions to access different key areas of the body.
The philosophy that underpins this approach is to practise from the heart. Its a moving act of Metta, which is an old Pali and Buddhist word that essentially means loving kindness. The act of Metta is often practised as a form of meditation but can also be a general attitude thats adopted. The process of approaching each massage in a loving, kind, and compassionate way, and remaining very present can make it more of an act of devotion, both for self and the other person – union in motion.
Massages happen in a space at seven dials, Brighton.
